AMAZON

FRUSTRATION FREE FUN, ENABLING BRANDS TO INTEGRATE THEIR PRODUCTS AND PACKAGING

THE WORLD’S LARGEST E-RETAILER

Amazon is the most accessible distribution network on the planet. The brand is at the centre of the rapidly growing trend of online shopping which has intensified during the pandemic. This shift has amplified the issues of managing large quantities of goods. Managing the volume, weight and use of packaging across such a wide range of products sold through its vendors has provided problems.

HELPING CREATE A MORE SUSTAINABLE SERVICE

Creating a showcase solution we wanted to highlight how shipping products through the Amazon network could be improved. By taking an existing product and using our knowledge of the Amazon supply chain, we set out to propose changes to create a streamlined approach for brand, distributor and the end consumer.

UNLAYERING PACKAGE

Through this we created a shipper-ready carton board package, fully compliant with the Amazon frustration free regulations. The design reduced material waste and lightened the load by eliminating the need for additional layers of packaging. Connecting the products directly to the brand experience, we designed the package to secure the product and provide a canvas for play after use.

BLUEPRINT FOR CHANGE

As a working prototype our concept has been shared with Amazon having been recognised for the value it can add to the service. Shipper-ready packaging designed around the product it carries, as well as the supply chain it needs to run through. Less material with fewer layers to unravel. Less processing for the Amazon warehouse with less air shipped. An added value product offering with an ownable canvas and increased brand engagement. Our design is a blueprint highlighting the opportunities of integrating a quality brand experience with supply chain and logistics.
